SOHO PINOT NOIR 2010

wine with rapture

Award winning winemaker David Clouston has created a Marlborough wine that serves up a core of spicy black cherry and opulent red summer fruits. Dark chocolate with a hit of well integrated French oak adds intrigue. The palate is smooth textured with velvety tannins and a long finish... this wine should be wrapped in tobacco leaf. Reviews

  • GOLD - Best in Class

Bright crimson red with a inviting nose of red summer fruits, cherries & raspberries. Hints of smoke and dark chocolate. This wine has a nice build in the mouth, great balance and fine structure. A long characterful finish completes a great drink.

  • ***** Top 10

There was so much discussion around our top-rating 2010. Savoury, spicy, red beetroot aromas, showing the influence of whole bunch fermentation, usher in a mouthful of red and dark fruit charm.

A seductive Pinot showing charm and elegance, as well as loads of attractive flavours - dark cherry, plum, game, mushroom and nicely infused cedary oak. The palate is succulent and silky smooth with lovely mid palate weight and impressively long finish backed by well polished tannins. Already delightful drinking, this will develop greater complexity with time. At its best: now to 2016.
