Reviews

  • ****+

A youthful Sauvignon displaying appealing aromas of grapefruit, white peach and fresh herbs. It's succulent and rounded on the palate with lovely fruit weight and bright acidity leading to an attractive juicy finish. It's generously flavoured and very enjoyable. At its best: now to 2014

Fruit from SOHO’s ‘Yarrum’ site in the Brancott Valley, fermented to 13.5% alc. and 3.0 g/L rs. Very pale straw colour, with a clear edge, this has an elegantly presented nose with lifted aromas of English gooseberries, limes and capsicums, unfolding layers of fresh herb nuances. Dry with restrained and stylish flavours of gooseberries and passionfruit, subtle layers of stonefruits unfold. Fine, racy acidity and smooth, slippery textures provide cut and finesse, and carry a soft, lingering finish. Match this subtle, flowing wine with seafood, vegetables and salads over the next 2-3 years.
