And announce their commitment to supporting mental health…

Multi award-winning boutique wine company SOHO Wines is thrilled to introduce their dazzling new release PINK SHEEP Marlborough Rosé 2017 – their most provocative Rosé yet. SOHO PINK SHEEP, a hand-crafted labour of love inspired by the Pink Sheep in the family, nonetheless an exceptional example of a pure, vibrant and classy New Zealand Rosé.

Described as off-dry in style with aromas of fresh watermelon and wild crushed berries, with a touch of pastille confectionary, matched with mouth-watering acidity, lovely silky tannins and a refreshingly dry finish, this scrumptious, lip-smacking Rosé is set to fly this Spring/Summer.

With the release of PINK SHEEP, SOHO Wines is proud to announce their commitment to supporting mental health by donating 50c per bottle sold in New Zealand and worldwide to various nominated mental health charities. In New Zealand, SOHO Wines has chosen to partner with the ‘Key to Life’ charitable trust, spearheaded by prominent entertainer and mental health campaigner Mike King.

SOHO Wines Managing Director, Rachael Carter says, “SOHO Wines has always strived to be distinctive from the flock, we boldly celebrate individuality, each of our wines has its own unique personality and character. With the creation of PINK SHEEP we took inspiration from flamboyant fashion designer Alexander McQueen who often referred to himself as the ‘Pink Sheep’ in the family. McQueen, a troubled genius suffered from depression and ultimately ended his extraordinary life prematurely at age 40.”

“Mental illness has affected members of my family, so this is an issue I personally feel very passionate toward. With the release of PINK SHEEP our aim at SOHO Wines is to be proactive by raising awareness of this rising epidemic in New Zealand and to assist with funding of support networks for sufferers. I have huge admiration for the ‘Key to Life’ charitable trust and the wonderful work they are doing in schools nationwide to promote positive attitudinal change toward mental health and I was pleased they agreed to partner with us when we approached them earlier this year.”
Carter added, “Our PINK SHEEP Rosé embodies exceptional quality, it’s also a little bit cheeky and we hope it will resonate with peoples consciousness to support this worthwhile cause while enjoying this exciting new wine.”

PINK SHEEP is available through selected restaurants, bars and fine wine retail.
