Beautifully crafted and elegantly complex, showing grapefruit, apricot, fig and oatmeal aromas on the nose, leading to a brilliantly focused palate with excellent persistency and structured. The wine offers terrific fruit power combined with textural mouthfeel, finishing persistent and engaging.
Brilliant, pale yellow with a gold hue, even colour throughout. The nose is softly full with fine detail of barrel-fermentation characters, nuances of lightly smokey struck match, spices, creamy lees underlined citrus and green apple. Medium-bodied, green apple aroma, mandarin, lemon and a hint of stonefruit lightly cushioned by creamy lees, beautiful spices unfold with a light veil of smoke. Fine-textured phenolic added apple skin essence flows with mouthwatering acidity to linearity. Mandarin peels and smoke are well-portioned, contribute to complexity and interest. This is an elegantly complexed Sauvignon Blanc with barrel fermentation details and a crisp palate.
