A wonderfully composed and expressed sauvignon, the intensely aromatic bouquet shows feijoa, Gala apple, grapefruit and lime peel characters. It is equally impressive and attractive on the palate, displaying excellent fruit power and focus, finishing gorgeously long and refreshing.
Brilliant, pale yellow with a gold hue, even colour throughout. The nose is softly full with fine detail of barrel-fermentation characters, nuances of lightly smokey struck match, spices, creamy lees underlined citrus and green apple. Medium-bodied, green apple aroma, mandarin, lemon and a hint of stonefruit lightly cushioned by creamy lees, beautiful spices unfold with a light veil of smoke. Fine-textured phenolic added apple skin essence flows with mouthwatering acidity to linearity. Mandarin peels and smoke are well-portioned, contribute to complexity and interest. This is an elegantly complexed Sauvignon Blanc with barrel fermentation details and a crisp palate.
