review

A magnificent rendition, the enticing bouquet shows ripe stone fruit, melon, vanillin oak and oatmeal characters, leading to a concentrated palate that's succulent and seamlessly flowing. Richly textured with beautifully pitched acidity, finishing impressively long and sophisticated.

Raymond Chan Wine Reviews

review

Bright, even, pale straw yellow. The nose is softly full, with aromas of citrus, stonefruit, delicate spice, vanilla and a suggestion of melon. Medium-full bodied, aromas of lemon and grapefruit melded with peach and honeydew melon, zest, vanilla and a touch of white spice. A zest acid line flows elegantly with vibrancy along a lightly creamy mouthfeel; delicate spice adorns and lends a toasty closing with salinity. This Waiheke Chardonnay is posied with a citrus core, balanced toasty spice elements and a smooth-flowing line. Match with roasted chicken and prawns over the next 5 years. Fruit from the Carter vineyard, fermented to 13% alc.

review

Very enticing bouquet with ripe pure fruited scents of peach and white fleshed orchard fruits, citrus and a mix of fruit and barrel spices. Equally enticing on the palate, a taut squeeze as the wine touches the palate, flavours of citrus then peach then fine tannins and acidity to carry flavours and a crisping texture of its own. Well made, quite youthful with some cellar time recommended. best drinking from 2024 through 2029.
