Ripe, fruity and varietal with scents of citrus and green apple, there’s an elegance and softness side to the bouquet as well with a fine lees and mineral cushion. Aromas of dried herb then tropical fruits and cape gooseberry begin to emerge as the wine opens out in glass becoming more pungent and lively after 10 minutes. This just shows the youth of the wine and just a little more time in bottle needed. Dry, crisp, taut, spicy and fruit with a core of varietal flavours from citrus and apple to tropical fruit, there’s a red pepper and dried herb quality with a stony soil undertone. Best from early 2025 through 2028.

This is an excellent vintage of 2024 Soho Stella Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, as this fresh, zingy and tropical fruit scented wine shows. It has a medium bodied with fleshy flavours of lemon, grapefruit and a hint of lime zest in a bold and bright new Sauvignon Blanc. It’s a dry wine with 2.7 grams of residual sugar and beautiful weight to carry the flavours to a lingering finish.
