Raymond Chan Wine Reviews

review

Bright, very pale yellow with a light green hue, even colour throughout. The nose is vibrant and softly full with aromas of lime, cassis, capsicum and delicate spices. Medium-light bodied, nuances of lime extends with lime zest, interweave cassis, blackcurrant leaf and fine spices; salinity lingers to a sustained finish. The mouthfeel is smooth and delicate with chalky phenolics. Thirst-quenching acidity is integrated and buoyant; salinity added interest and provided a moreish finish. This is a savoury Sauvignon Blanc with vibrant flavours on a chalky palate.

review

Powerful aromatics of fresh herbs and ripe white fleshed tree fruits, lemon grass and grapefruit. A tropical fruit scent adds familiarity and energy. Saline, fresh, crisp and citrusy on the palate followed by flavours of fresh herbs and stony mineral qualities. Well made, very youthful still, but exuberant and full of flavours with an excellent mouthfeel and power. Best drinking from 2022 through 2026.
