review

Immediately attractive, fleshy, vibrant, youthful and varietal bouquet. Aromas of fresh peach, red apple and sweet grapefruit, light baking spices of oak and mild toasty barrel scents. A youthful complexity and drive. Equally attractive on the palate with a core of fruit flavours reflecting the nose though very youthful still with a bright intense acidity and fine wood tannins setting up the foundation structure. Lengthy finish, quite pure, well made, but not quite ready - so some cellar time is advised. Excellent with food if you elect to open before December 2021.

Raymond Chan Wine Reviews

review

Brilliant, pale yellow-gold with some depth, even colour throughout. The nose is welcoming, greeted with nuances of ripe stonefruit, custard, toasted almonds and subtle flint. Medium-bodied, stonefruit entwined with nashi pear crispness, along with delicate spice, toasted almonds and custard lingers with a hint of citrus zest. The mouthfeel is smooth-flowing with a sense of crunch and chalky mineral, poised in structure. Flavours are just ripe with a good amount of freshness; well-proportioned and elegant use of oak adorn the wine with richness and weight. This is an elegantly crafted Chardonnay with the purity of fruit and poised structure of richness.
