Alexander McQueen, the flamboyant fashion designer often referred to himself as the ‘Pink Sheep’ in the family. He was a troubled genius that suffered from depression and ultimately ended his life prematurely at age 40. Sweetly ripe and inviting with dark cherry, olive, savoury mushroom and toasted almond characters, it’s succulent and plump in the mouth delivering beautifully rounded mouthfeel and silky tannins. Elegant, comforting and highly enjoyable.

Raymond Chan Wine Reviews

review

Moderate ruby-red with good transparency, even colour throughout, youthful appearance. The nose is vibrant with aromas of raspberries, strawberries and cherries melded with a hint of herb and an amalgam of delicate spices. Medium-light bodied, aromas of raspberries, strawberries and cherries have a taut core, adorned by a light dusting of spice. The mouthfeel is smooth with supple tannin extraction, which contributes to a light grip and line. Lively acidity project a focused tension to a long juicy finish. This is a vibrant, juicy Pinot Noir with bright red fruit, lively acidity and an elegantly smooth palate. Match with pork belly and roasted chicken over the next 3-5 years.
