Richly fruited with stunning fruit purity and perfume, the wine shows Black Doris plum, blueberry, violet, warm spice and cedar characters on the nose. The palate displays splendid concentration and plush texture, wonderfully complemented by velvety tannins. Mouthfilling and flavoursome with grace and sophistication. At its best: now to 2036.

Moderately deep ruby-red, even colour throughout. The nose is gently full, with aromas of black fruit,
herb and delicate spice. Medium-bodied, aromas of cherry and plum entwined with thyme, mocha, vanilla and cinnamon. The mouthfeel is smooth with dusty tannins; concentrated fruit layers with spice and flows along a lacy acid line to a satisfying finish. Match with lamb rack and duck over the next 5+ years.

This is a really excellent example of new world Pinot from Otago with a bright and polished appearance with a bouquet of fresh back cherry and ripe red currant, there’s a seam of dried herbs and crumbled stone mineral qualities. Oak suggest some new barrel used with a mix of baking spices from vanilla to cinnamon. Youthful features of acidity and polished tannins layer in mouthfeel and grip, contrasting plushness from fruit and barrel spice and a generous plush quality overall. Well made with best drinking from 2024 through 2034.
